Big Bang (Korean: 빅뱅), commonly stylized as BIGBANG, is a South Korean hip-hop boy band. The group’s formation was chronicled on the television seriesBig Bang Documentary, from July to August 2006. The show was also aired online on GomTV and on MTV Korea. Initially a six-member group, one member dropped out during the airing of the show before the official debut leading to their current line up of GDragon, T.O.P,Taeyang,Daesung and Seungri. BIGBANG is signed under on of the most famous comapanies in Korea, YG Entertainment, and debuted at the company’s 10th anniversary concert on August 19th, 2006. BIGBANG immediately recieved praises from critics, the public and other singers for their outstanding talent.
Super Junior (Korean: 슈퍼주니어), often referred to as SJ or SuJu (슈주), is a popular boy band from South Korea formed by SM Entertainment in 2005. With a total of 13 members, they are the largest boy band in the world. The group consists of Leeteuk (leader), Heechul, Hankyung,Yesung, Kang-in, Shindong, Sungmin, Eunhyuk,
Donghae, Siwon, Ryeowook, Kibum, andKyuhyun. The only Chinese member, Han Geng, was chosen from three thousand applicants via auditions held in China by SM Entertainment in 2001. As of 2010, only 10 members are active, due to Han Geng’s ongoing lawsuit against SM Entertainment, Kibum’s pursuit of other interests, and Kang-in’s leave of absence for mandatory military service. However, the remaining members have insisted that they are still part of the group. They also was the first group to start having subgroups some of their subgroups are Super Junior H (Happy), Super Junior T (Trot), Super Junior KRY, and Super Junior M.

Shinee (샤이니, stylized as SHINee, pronounced /ˈʃaɪniː/ “shiny”) is a contemporary R&B South Korean boy band.[1] Formed by SM Entertainment in 2008, they made their debut on May 25, 2008 on SBS’s Popular Songs with their promotional single, “Nunan Neomu Yeppeo (Replay)” (“누난 너무 예뻐 (Replay)”, lit. “Older Girl, You’re So Pretty (Replay)”). The group consists of Onew, Jonghyun, Key, Minho, and Taemin.
On November 15, 2008 Shinee won the “Best Male Rookie” award at the 10th annual MNET KM Music Festival, beating fellow newcomers U-Kiss, 2PM, 2AM and Mighty Mouth.
SHINee is known for their fashion style, created by designer Ha Sang Baek (하상백), which features high-top sneakers, skinny jeans and colorful sweaters.This has led to product endorsements, and the band has promoted Smart, Korean cosmetic company Nana’s B, and Reebok.
SHINee also had a reality show, SHINee’s YunHaNam, hosted by MNet. The show ran from August 8-October 16 2008 with a total of twelve episodes. Each episode featured the band members going on a date with an older woman, after which she would chose one member for a solo date.The group also recorded a song, “Stand By Me” for the Korean drama,Boys Over Flowers.In addition to promoting Smart, Shinee recorded the “Blue Pink Song”, to further promote their product.SHINee also recorded a digital single “Bodyguard” to promote Samsung’s Anycall mobile phone.They have also recorded a song titled “Countdown” for the drama Dream and “Fly High” for Prosecutor Princess.
In January 2010, SHINee starred as fathers to a young boy named YooGeun in the second season of KBS’s Hello Baby.
SM Entertainment revealed individual photo teasers of each member for the new album starting with Minho on July 8, 2010 and ending with Key on July 12. The group was originally set to have their comeback stage on KBS Music Bank, July 16, to kick start their promotions for the new album, but due to Minho injuring himself during a Dream Team 2 filming on July 8, the comeback was postponed to July 23.
The second full length album entitled Lucifer was released on July 19, 2010 in South Korea. The music video promoting Lucifer was released the next day on July 20, 2010.

Beast (비스트, stylized as BEAST or B2ST) is a boy band from South Korea that consists of six members, under Cube Entertainment. The group was originally known as B2ST, an acronym forBoys to Search for Top.However, their name was changed to BEAST (Boys of the East Standing Tall) a few days before debut. They released their first mini-album Beast Is The B2ST on October 14, 2009-the new is soom (breath)
U-KISS (Korean: 유키스) is a seven-member South Korean boy band formed by NH Media in 2008. The members include Alexander, Soo Hyun, Ki Bum, Kiseop, Eli, Kevin and Dong Ho. The name of the group stands for Ubiquitous Korean International (Idol) Super Star.
The group has released one album and various single. Their first full length album, Only One was released on February 2010.

C.N.Blue (Korean: 씨엔블루), Code Name Blue, is a South Korean indie rock band which debuted on August 19, 2009 in Japan with their first mini-album,Now or Never. They were coined as the “2nd FT Island” due to similar style and sound but mainly because they are under the same company as their senior FT Island. The group released four teasers for their 1st albumBluetory, starring one member per each of the videos in the sequence of Jonghyun, Minhyuk, Jungshin and lastly, Yonghwa on the 6th, 8th, 11th and 13th of January respectively. On the 12th of January, the music video of the title track 외톨이야 “I’m a Loner” was released.

Girls’ Generation (소녀시대; 少女時代) is a nine-member South Korean girl groupformed by SM Entertainment in 2007. In the order that they were announced as part of the group prior the group’s debut, the members are; Yoona, Tiffany, Yuri,Hyoyeon, Sooyoung, Seohyun, Taeyeon (leader), Jessica, and Sunny. They are often referred to as SoShi (소시), or SNSD (mainly outside Korea), the first of which is an abbreviation and the second an acronym of the group’s Korean nameSo Nyeo Shi Dae (or So Nyuh Shi Dae). In China, they are known as 少女時代 (Shàonǚ Shídài; or Siu Nui Si Doi in Hong Kong) and in Japan as 少女時代 (Shōjo Jidai).
The group has released two full albums, two mini-albums, and various singles. Their 2009 hit single “Gee” holds the record for being the longest running #1 song on KBS’s Music Bank, having held the #1 chart ranking for 9 consecutive weeks.[1]That year also saw the group winning various awards, including consecutive Artist of the Year (Daesang) awards at the Seoul Music Awards, Golden Disk Awards, and the Korean Cultural Entertainment Awards.

2NE1 (Korean: 투애니원; pronounced “To Anyone”or “twenty-one) is a South Korean girl group created by YG Entertainment. First appearing in a Cyon commercial campaign with Big Bang for LG Telecom, their debut single “Fire” was released on May 6, 2009. On May 17, 2009 the group debut with their first single “Fire” on SBS’s Inkigayo. The group’s name 2NE1 stands for “New Evolution of the 21st Century”/”21c New Evolution”
